The next DiscoverEU call will open on Tuesday 11 October at noon and close on Tuesday 25 October.
For the second time this year, 35,000 young people will receive a rail pass to explore Europe and its rich culture.
The call is open to applicants from Erasmus+ participating countries, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey. In order to try to win a travel pass, young people can register on the European Youth Portal, where they will have to answer five quiz questions and an additional question.
Applicants who successfully completed the quiz and were born between 1 January 2004 and 31 December 2004 will be able to travel within Europe for a maximum of 30 days between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024. Those who turn 18 years in the first half of next year will be able to apply in March 2023. In this second round this year, thanks to the increased budget under the European Youth Year, a total of 70,000 passes will be available in 2022. Recipients will continue to benefit from the discount card for public transport, culture, accommodation, food, sports and other services in participating countries. They will be able to join the meetings as part of the DiscoverEU initiative launched in 2022, which consist of an exciting multi-day cultural program in all countries of the Erasmus+ initiative.
