Within the RIPEET (Responsible energy transition) project, the pilot regions (Outer Hebrides - Scotland, Ostrobothnia - Finland, Extremadura - Spain) jointly identified the most urgent energy needs in their territories in close cooperation with various local stakeholders.

Three main challenges were identified:

• Outer Hebrides - Explore solutions to reduce household energy costs by making better use of locally produced energy.
• Ostrobothnia - Engage society to accelerate decentralized and local energy solutions established by 2030 in the region
• Extremadura - Creating space for the promotion of new energy projects and the design of models of energy communities adapted to the characteristics of the territory
Three tenders are open, and applicants must be legal entities in a situation to receive public funds, based in an eligible country and based in an EU member state or associated countries.
The application deadline is 11/15/2022.
