Grants to support the European Youth Event (EYE 2023)

The main goal of the call is to build and strengthen European citizenship among young people, raise awareness of the functioning of the EU and the democratic role of the European Parliament, and empower them to become active citizens, encouraging their active engagement and participation in the 2024 European elections. 

The invitation includes the following measures:

  1. Category 1 – Designing and implementing inclusive and interactive outdoor discussions and workshops, focusing on current issues, generating ideas and measures for the future of Europe and/or providing resources for capacity building.
  2. Category 2 - Conception and implementation of a cultural program (theatre/dramatic art, circus, pantomime and dance).
  3. Category 3 - Conception and implementation of an outdoor music program in which artists between the ages of 16 and 30 participate, selected through a competition.

 The specific objectives of the call are common to three categories of activities:1. Organize outdoor activities in line with the values ​​of EYE, which will complement the internal and online programs organized by the European Parliament and its partners, in which between 3,000 and 6,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 30 will participate over two days (see section 1.1.).2. To involve youth and civil society organizations in the process of joint creation and co-organization of EYE.3. Proposes measures to support the Parliament's strategic engagement process with regard to the 2024 European elections, with an emphasis on expanding the together.eu community.4. To create conditions for young people to create and develop ideas for the future of Europe that will be collected in EYE and presented to representatives in the European Parliament as a reference for their work.5. They encourage diversity (ie broad representation of viewpoints and beliefs, cultural diversity of Europe, social and ethnic origins, etc.), gender balance and inclusion (eg for participants with disabilities).6. Further measures to promote the outcome of the EYE2023 programme, in particular in the context of the campaign for the European elections in 2024.7. Ensure consistency with EP communication guidelines and branding.

Actions supported by this call are single-user actions, and applicants must be able to prove that they are: a legal entity established and registered as a non-profit or equivalent in accordance with national legislation, established at least four years before the application deadline for the call, based in one of the states member of the EU, non-partisan political affiliation.For category 1 and 3 actions:• pan-European youth organization (youth organizations that are non-profit, voluntary and participatory non-governmental associations led by young people) or pan-European civil society organization (an organizational structure whose members serve the general interest and which acts as a mediator between public authorities and citizens).For the purposes of this call, the concept of a pan-European organization refers to:• or pan-European members that are formally part of a network of entities sharing common values. Only entities part of the network represented in seven or more Member States may submit proposals for this call• or entities that formally represent the interests of a wide group of member entities from different member states. Only entities whose members are entities from seven or more Member States may submit proposals for this call.For actions of category 2:• Pan-European youth organization or pan-European civil society organization or• University departments/faculties or higher education institutions that prepare young people to become professional artists in the fields of theatre/dramatic arts, circus, pantomime or dance.

 Application deadline: 10th October 2022 

Maximum available budget: EUR 380.000,00
