What will Creative Europe bring in 2023?

The European Commission has published the work program for the year 2023 for the implementation of the activities of the Creative Europe program with a budget of EUR 311,700,980.

In 2023, Creative Europe will continue to be the EU's mechanism for contributing to European policy initiatives relevant to the cultural and creative sectors, aligned with the objectives of the 2018 New European Agenda for Culture.

The Creative Europe program will provide financial support for the implementation of activities, which will cover current topics such as recovery and resilience of the cultural and creative sectors, working conditions of artists, challenges related to digitization, climate change, gender equality, sustainability, culture and well-being, and international cultural relations. The new mobility scheme for artists and cultural workers (Culture Moves Europe), which in 2022 became part of the standard calls within the Culture sub-programme to ensure the legacy of the European Year of Youth, will continue, through residencies and local cultural programs , to contribute to the goals of the New European Bauhaus.

European Spaces of Culture, as a special invitation, is a continuation of the European Parliament's preparatory action of the same name, whose goal is to find new ways of cooperation in cultural relations, following the principles that reflect the EU's strategy for international cultural relations.
