Digital Europe program: the European Commission announced an invitation to companies and public administration to invest 200 million euros in digital technology

Today, the Commission announced the third set of calls for proposals under the Digital Europe program, worth EUR 200 million, within the work program for the period 2021 and 2022.

Previous calls were published in November 2021 and February 2022.

Calls are open to companies, public administrations and other entities from EU member states, EFTA/EEA countries and associated countries. These funds will amount to EUR 170 million for data spaces, the development of an artificial intelligence platform to provide businesses and public administrations with easy access to reliable artificial intelligence tools in Europe, for cloud infrastructure at the edge of the network and for investments in specialized educational programs in the field of advanced digital technology. The application deadline for these calls is January 24, 2023.

A new call is also open for European digital innovation centers, with an additional EUR 30 million. Centers located across Europe will support private enterprises, including SMEs and start-ups, as well as the public sector in their digital transformation. The deadline for this call is 16 November 2022. More information on applying for grants for these calls for proposals is available at this link. Further calls under the work program for the period 2021 and 2022 will be published in the coming weeks.
