DT4REGIONS Award is an initiative of the Digital Transformation for Regions (DT4REGIONS) project, which gives visibility to the best solutions such as initiatives and technological applications based on artificial intelligence and big data,

currently used by public administrations in Europe. Governments in Europe are making efforts to integrate artificial intelligence and big data solutions into their operations and improve services to citizens. Analysis by AI Watch shows that artificial intelligence is being used in particular to support the redesign of governance procedures and policy-making mechanisms, as well as to improve public service delivery and cooperation with citizens.

The aim of the DT4REGIONS award is to encourage the exchange of best practices, solutions, applications and bottom-up initiatives brought by national and regional authorities or public bodies at all levels in order to increase mutual learning. The awarding of the most successful cases of implementation of artificial intelligence and big data will serve to help spread these solutions to other European areas.

The initiative is open to all civil servants, representatives of public administrations and members of European local, regional and national bodies who are familiar with the initiative, application or successful solution based on artificial intelligence and big data adopted by public administrations in Europe.

Submissions can be made in four main categories:

1. Supporting the adoption of policies
2. Improving the provision of public services
3. Improvement of internal management
4. Other __________.
