Interreg Europe - Announcement and Preparation for the Second Call

At its core, Interreg Europe is about sharing solutions for better regional policies.

The second call for submission of project proposals is approaching, which will be open from 15.3. until 9.6.2023, and for the purpose of planning and preparing a project application, six tips can be found here to make it easier to prepare and make a quality application. 

#1: Start with the basics and familiarize yourself with the programThe Interreg Europe program offers a series of short introductory videos where one can get a better impression of the programme, the projects and the Policy Learning Platform. 

#2: Familiarize yourself with the topics covered in the programInterreg Europe contributes to all EU priorities and supports better regional governance through capacity building. All six topics that are being worked on are presented at a series of thematic networking sessions, and through the recordings of the sessions, one can learn more about the policy goals and the EU context, and check what types of activities correspond to each topic within Interreg Europe and find inspiration for activities:

#3: Explore and share project ideas

In case of looking for cooperation partners or joining a project, there is a whole section of the website dedicated to project ideas and bringing people together.

Own project ideas can be shared and let others know about it let others know about it. The partnership can be built up to the opening of the call.Additional project ideas were also shared during the networking event.  

#4: Stand out from the crowd – update your profileOpening an account will open access to new connections and allow full use of the resources offered.Updating your account will increase your chances of finding relevant contacts or potential business partners. #5: Try online tools

Explore the website and see what else is available, and speed up the project preparation:• Use the self-assessment tool and check the relevance of the project idea• Find interested persons or organizations of interregional cooperation within the community• See guidelines for project development• Find a point of contact in your country.During the call, it will be possible to request feedback on the project proposal. Submitting project applications is also online and all the more reason to set up a profile. 

#6: Follow posts for more information

The application package will be available in early 2023 and call information will be published in the call section of the website.A program manual is currently available that provides information on the key features of the program, eligibility criteria, project development, application and selection process, project implementation, etc.
