The project SHARED GREEN DEAL offers to local/regional authorities and non-profit organizations the opportunity to join forces to run social experiments focused on the following six priority themes of the Green Deal

: Clean Energy, Circular Economy, Preserving Biodiversity, Sustainable Mobility, Efficient Renovations and Sustainable Food.Using different participatory approaches to involve local stakeholders and citizens, the experiments will address the behavioral, social and cultural dimensions of the European Green Plan. The goal of social experiments is to facilitate and learn from the process of change on an individual and collective level while collecting research data in that process. The experiments have specific objectives for each of the six topics covered.

Eligible applicants: local or regional government (including municipalities, cities, towns, villages and their local businesses and municipally owned agencies.), non-profit organization (eg non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, associations, etc.). 

The SHARED GREEN DEAL will provide financial support in the amount of up to EUR 22,000 for the implementation of each local social experiment for one year from spring/summer 2023. A total of 24 European locations (organizations) will be selected to launch social experiments, i.e. (4 locations per topic). 

The application deadline is January 31, 2023.
