Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE: Announcement of the Second Call

Central Europe faces numerous challenges that know no borders. Some of the challenges that need to be solved as soon as possible relate to climate change, social pressures, and the transition to a carbon-free digital economy.

Regions and cities have to adapt in many ways, and for this they need financial support.

The Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE monitoring committee agreed that the program should soon offer new funding on a broader basis. Thus, it is expected that new project ideas will develop, test and implement innovative solutions through transnational cooperation that meet the needs of regions and cities on the ground in all program funding priorities and specific objectives.

The opening of the second Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE call is planned for March 22, 2023, and the call will be open until May 17, 2023.

The second call will support ideas about cooperation in all priorities and special goals, and the tentative budget for the call will be around EUR 60 million.

More detailed information about the call is expected at the beginning of 2023.
