Be.CULTOUR (Horizon 2020 project) stands for – Beyond CULTural TOURism: a network of cultural heritage innovations that is the driver of Europeanization towards human-centered tourism. The goal is to go beyond tourism by nurturing a long-term human-centered development perspective, improve cultural heritage and landscape values, and empower European regions in co-creating innovative, circular solutions for heritage regeneration and regional development outside of cultural tourism.

As part of the project, a series of 9 webinars has been launched that will deal with specific topics, and which are open to the general public in order to encourage a comprehensive understanding of the practices of circular and sustainable cultural tourism. The combination of experience and expertise in the field will guide webinar participants in innovative practices and show how to apply them. 

The first webinar cirkular cultural tourism: The role of heritage innovation networks for co-creation and community empowerment will address methodologies and tools for stakeholder involvement, serious engagement and co-creation, explaining how to combine expert knowledge and local perspective. The desire is to recognize hidden cultural resources and fully utilize them as drivers of local development, community empowerment and innovative entrepreneurship through cultural tourism.
