On the eve of the Osijek-Baranja County Day celebration, on June 2 of this year, the Representation of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem in Brussels was visited by Vinko Kuduz, councilor of the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly.

During the informal visit, the head of the office, Renata Taušan and Mr. Vinko Kuduz had the opportunity to discuss the current work of the Representation in Brussels, as the only regional representation from the Republic of Croatia that represents the interests of five counties from Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, and about the advantages and importance of existing as and the functioning of the regional representative office in order to represent the potential of a particular region in Brussels, which represents the diplomatic center of Europe and European institutions.

They also touched upon the issues and possibilities of establishing cooperation between local and regional self-government councilors and the Representative Office in order to implement the bottom-up approach and the motto of bringing Europe closer to citizens.

The regional representative office has a unique opportunity and perspective of connection and ensures better and more efficient participation in processes within the European Union institutions through the dimension of the local community and knowledge of opportunities and current situations at the local and regional level in real time and first hand.

During his stay in the office of the Representative Office, Mr. Kuduz also looked at the exhibition of paintings "Wind from the Plain", which is currently installed in the premises of the Representative Office of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem.

Mr. Vinko Kuduz is a graduate student in economics in Rijeka. He is an employee of a city company in Osijek and the owner of a business consulting and marketing business.

He graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and the UN Academy.
