As part of the class, the office manager Renata Taušan hosted eight students and teacher Nikolina Šuto in the office of the Representation of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem.
Teaching Croatian language and culture abroad is a program of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, conducted in Belgium by teacher Nikolina Šuto. It is intended for children of Croatian origin who live temporarily or permanently in Belgium. The classes include the acquisition of knowledge about Croatia and Croatian culture in a broader sense, familiarization with everyday life in the homeland and customs.
The head of the office prepared a short lesson for the students about the geographical location of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, the counties, the capitals of the counties, the predominant branches of the economy, traditional customs, and they also had the opportunity to hear and see a recording of the performance of the shock cart.
During their stay at the Representative Office, the students, accompanied by the head of the office, also visited an exhibition of art works by artists from Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem called "Wind from the Plain". The exhibition "Wind from the plain" shows the beauty of the landscape as well as the cities, so that the students had the opportunity to see what they had learned through the perspective of artistic expression.
The representative office of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem continues to spread the word about our counties to all generations and we look forward to future cooperation with teacher Nikolina Šuto.
