The Representative Office of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem presented the Virovitica-Podravine County Business Incubator Network at the 21st European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels through a regional partnership workshop.

On Tuesday, October 11, as part of the EU Week of Regions, a workshop entitled "Attracting and retaining talent: presentation of regional strategies" was held, in which four European regions of the Central European Partnership participated: the South Moravian Region, the Greater Poland Voivodeship, the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and Slavonia , Baranja and Srijem.

The event included a panel discussion with speakers Eva Holzová, head of the smart city in Brno, Filipa Kaczmarek, representative in the regional parliament of Wielkopolska, Neda Martić, director of the Virovitica-Podravine County Business Incubator Network, Piotr Franciszek Calbecki, head of the Executive Committee of the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Insights and experiences related to talent attraction in the regions were exchanged, promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange in the EU regional context.

Relying on the European Year of Skills, together with the regions of South Moravia from the Czech Republic, the Greater Poland Voivodeship from Poland, the Kujavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship from Poland, the topic of attracting and retaining talent from the perspective of our regions and cities, in the context of the development of recent years, of course highlighting good examples Slavonija, Baranja and Srijem, and thus the Business Incubator of the Virovitica-Podravine County. The work with the tenants of our business incubators and entrepreneurs who are not, with all those who are self-employed, and ways of creating conditions that are attractive to young people so that they are motivated to stay and live in our region were presented, emphasizing the support of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, but also Virovitica. - Podravka County - emphasized Neda Martić.

Over the past 20 years, this event, the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, has become a unique platform for communication and networking, and is particularly prominent in the promotion of learning about policies and the exchange of good practice.
