LORDIMAS is a new, free, interactive online tool, which aims to help local and regional authorities understand where they are on their digital transformation journey.

 The tool was created in cooperation with [https://living-in.EU], and was officially presented during the European Week of Regions and Cities in 2023.

The LORDIMAS Digital Maturity Assessment is designed to be used as an annual monitoring exercise to see how individual governments and Europe as a whole are transforming over time. Detailed data on digital transition trends on the ground enables local and regional authorities to make informed policy decisions to improve their position and provide greater value to their citizens. Furthermore, it enables policy makers at national and EU level to provide greater policy support and more targeted funding to local, metropolitan and regional authorities.

The tool enables local and regional authorities to:

• Assessment - of digital maturity, based on seven dimensions, from management to networking
• Comparison - of the results achieved in real time on the interactive dashboard with the results of other cities and regions in Europe
• Sharing - achieved results, successes and challenges in order to promote the European path towards digital transformation
• Learning - getting policy advice to raise awareness of new topics and policy advice.

The LORDIMAS digital maturity assessment is available in all official languages ​​of the EU and EFTA countries and LORDIMAS can be used.

LORDIMAS developed ESPON in cooperation with the European Committee of the Regions, the European Commission, supporters and signatories of Living-in.EU and the Go Li.EU consortium. Through its involvement in the Living-in.EU movement and the Go Li.EU project, ERRIN participated in the creation of this tool by supporting the monitoring and measurement subgroup.
