At the European Parliament on January 28, 2020 was held the 6th Conference on Communal Services and Infrastructure. It was a specialized sectoral meeting that brought together regional and local government units, leading municipal utility companies from the Republic of Croatia and the SEE region, government representatives and other policymakers related with municipal infrastructure business.
The European Commission set up new objectives for the European Union. Becoming the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050 is not a simple task. To achieve this, the Commission presented an ambitious package of measures that will change our continent for the better. But, we all have questions about upcoming transition. Is it too ambitious? What will be the greatest challenge? What are the key measures? What kind of infrastructure do we need to support a clean energy economy? What happens to fossil fuel industry workers? What can we do as individuals?
This conference encompassed all these questions within the main topics:
- Green Deal legislation
- Climate change and CO2 emissions
- Circular economy and sustainability
- Water and waste management
- Water and waste management in Green Deal legislation

- Using EU funds for building cemetery infrastructure
- Digitalisation of water infrastructure in Croatia
