For the first time, a new Erasmus accreditation system has been launched to support organizations.
The EU funds thousands of mobility and professional development opportunities for school staff each year. This year, a new tool is available for organizations looking to create Erasmus mobility projects. Obtaining accreditation will provide easier access to funding opportunities for Key Activity 1 under the new Program starting in 2021.
The stand-alone course "Erasmus Accreditation - the Road to Mobility" opened on September 14 and can be completed at any time until October 29, 2020. It contains one module and two webinars. Participants will learn how accreditation works, what benefits it offers, and how organizations can apply.
Erasmus accreditation is a tool for education and training organizations in adult education, vocational education and training (VET) and school education that want to open up to cross-border exchange and cooperation. The award of Erasmus accreditation confirms that the applicant has established a plan to implement high-quality mobility activities as part of a broader effort to develop their organization.
The course will introduce participants to the Erasmus accreditation scheme, what it is and how their organization can benefit from it. As a participant:
- Learn the key principles of Erasmus accreditation
- Learn about the benefits of Erasmus accreditation under the new funding program
- Familiarize yourself with the application process
- Start thinking about your organization's Erasmus plan
