European Commission and Croatia signed a Partnership Agreement for the organization of information and communication campaigns on the changeover to the euro.

This is part of the preparatory steps for Croatia's accession to the eurozone. The document was signed by the Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Croatia Zdravko Marić. The Partnership Agreement is a political commitment of the Commission to support the organization of information and communication campaigns on the changeover to the euro in Croatia, planned for 1 January 2023, provided that Croatia meets all the convergence criteria. This is the basis for the preparation and signing of the Grant Agreement, which will enable the Commission to co-finance communication activities on the changeover to the euro in Croatia.
