The New European Bauhaus Awards 2022 will support examples of new European Bauhaus values: sustainability, inclusiveness and aesthetics.

The awards will recognize and support existing aesthetic, sustainable and include achievements and the younger generation in the further development of new concepts and ideas.

Prizes will be awarded in 4 different categories that reflect the thematic axes of transformation identified during the co-design phase of the New European Bauhaus and are inspired by the views and experiences of thousands of EU citizens and organizations:

· Reconnecting with nature

· Return of a sense of belonging

· Prioritizing places and people who need it most

· Designing a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life cycle thinking.

In each of the four categories there are two parallel competition groups:

· Award for the new European Bauhaus for existing completed projects:

Ø The winners will receive EUR 30,000 and a communication package

Ø The runners-up will receive EUR 20,000 and a communication package.

· Rising stars of the new European Bauhaus for the ideas of young talents under the age of 30 or younger:

Ø The winners will receive 15,000 EUR and a communication package

Ø The runners-up will receive EUR 10,000 and a communication package.

EU and non-EU citizens can apply if their concept, idea or project is actually developed and / or physically located in the EU. Joint / partnership and consortium applications are possible with the same criteria as for EU-based projects.

Young people under 30 on 28.2.2022. they can apply for both competitions - the New European Bauhaus Award and the Rising Stars of the new European Bauhaus. Project promoters over the age of 30 can apply for the New European Bauhaus Award with projects completed in the last two years (older projects are not eligible).

The deadline for submitting applications is February 28, 2022. until 19.00.
