An invitation has been opened to submit proposals for EU grants, actions in the field of public procurement of innovations. Single Market Program (SMP COSME).

The European Commission wants to further develop the potential of public procurement of innovation across the EU. This is possible if public buyers with practical experience in PPI can transfer their knowledge to others with no or limited experience. The action will enable the construction of a comprehensive reference base for innovation procurement activities and a network of suppliers, which would then be open to newcomers. In addition to the costs associated with setting up workshops and networks, participants will also receive financial support for the purchase of innovative solutions.

General call objectives:
1. Develop the internal market through innovation that encourages the transition to a more competitive, digital, greener and social economy.
2. Strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of Union enterprises, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises.
Specific objectives:
· Utilizing public procurement as a tool to foster innovation in areas of public interest.
· Creating general positive social value through innovation acquired / developed, especially in the field of digital transformation, public health and green transformation.
· Contribute to capacity building and knowledge transfer on public procurement of innovation - increase the number of suppliers involved in collaborative action as actors, followers or observers and develop tools and knowledge for replication of developed innovation procurement.

The cost of purchasing innovative solutions is up to 70% of the total eligible costs.

Total budget: EUR 4,000,000
