The Call for Applications for Accession to the Young Elected Politicians 2022 Program (YEP 2022) has been opened.

Young local and regional politicians have until April 8 to submit their application and have the opportunity to be selected to participate in the 2022 Action Program.
The Young Elected Politicians program is a network of politicians under the age of 40 who have a mandate at regional or local level in the EU. Since its founding in 2019, more than 500 young politicians have joined the Program.
The YEP program will allow you to learn more about local and regional government funding, understand how cohesion policy can help recover from the COVID-19 crisis and develop your city and region, and share best practices with other YEPs and politicians.

As 2022 is the European Year of Youth, this year's YEP program will focus specifically on youth issues.
The YEP program for 2022 will run until the spring of 2023, and activities are planned throughout the year.

Selected YEPs will have access to:
• YEPcommunity.eu, a place to share information and experiences with fellow YEPs and former YEP students
• seminars, events and on-call counseling
• Internet networking opportunities with members of the YEP community
• courses on EU topics.

All events are planned online (and depending on the development of the pandemic, the COVID-19 program could be subject to change).

You can apply if:
• you have the democratic mandate of an elected politician at regional or local level in a Member State of the European Union
• you were born after January 1, 1982.
• You do not have a mandate as a CoR member or deputy
• you have a good level of English or French
• fill in the application form and submit it by April 8, 2022.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the quality of the application form and with the aim of ensuring a balance in terms of gender, regional and local representation, political affiliation and nationality.
