An invitation to submit a proposal for the training of the health workforce, including digital skills (EU4H-2022-PJ-06), has been published, program: EU4 Health Program (EU4H).
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that there are huge opportunities to learn from each other and the importance of sharing knowledge or maintaining life-saving skills and achieving better health outcomes. The right skills are also key to mobilizing resources in crisis situations. In addition, access to continuing vocational training is one of the main motivators for health professionals, providing them with the skills they need to save lives and improve health outcomes.
The European Health Union package places special emphasis on improving the resilience of health systems, and the workforce is at the heart of more resilient health systems. Health systems in the Union not only face the challenge of staff shortages, but also need to address the mismatch between skills supply and demand.
The aim of this call is to address gaps in access to continuing education and training of health professionals and to provide more training opportunities for non-clinical staff involved in health care planning, procurement and management. This will contribute to the transformation of health systems, including digital health solutions.
Eligible applicants: academic and educational institutions, the European Association of Health Professionals, trade unions, civil society organizations (associations, foundations, NGOs, etc.) and Member State authorities
Total budget: EUR 29,000,000 (at least EUR 2 million per project)
Deadline for applications: May 24, 2022.
