The European Commission is organizing the first edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival from 9 to 12 June 2022 and you can be a part of it!
The new European Bauhaus (NEB) represents the ambition of the European Union (EU) in creating beautiful and sustainable spaces, products and ways of living together. It promotes a new lifestyle where sustainability matches style, thus accelerating the green transition throughout our economy, from construction to furniture and fashion, as well as in other areas of our daily lives and society. The new European Bauhaus brings a cultural and creative dimension to the European Green Plan. It allows you to reap the benefits of ecological transition through tangible experiences at the local level.
The New European Bauhaus Festival consists of three pillars:
- Forum: to exchange views and discuss topics related to the New European Bauhaus.
- Fair: to exhibit and display projects and prototypes that reflect and support the values of the New European Bauhaus.
- Fest: a moment of celebration that combines culture, art and socializing, celebration, freedom of expression with radical, innovative, disruptive ideas and visions.
The 2022 edition of the Festival will be a hybrid event, with core activities taking place in Brussels, with accompanying events across the EU and beyond. You can propose your own event in Brussels or in your hometown or home region and become part of the New European Bauhaus Festival. The festival provides an opportunity for a wide range of stakeholders, communities and organizations to share their ideas that contribute to the New European Bauhaus and increase their visibility and impact.
Your event should promote the values of the New European Bauhaus and the development of a beautiful and sustainable space and way of living together. The proposed event can be organized in Brussels, across the EU or beyond. The event you are proposing should overlap with the activities of the Festival (June 9-12, 2022).
Eligible applicants: individuals or organizations that are publicly funded projects, a public organization, a non-governmental organization or any other non-profit organization active at local, regional, national, European or international level.
Applications must be submitted in English, French or Dutch via the online platform no later than March 21, 2022.
