In the framework of the European Innovation Council (EIC) in 2022, the possibility of financing worth more than 1.7 billion euros was opened.

Open calls offer funding opportunities:
• Under the EIC pathfinder - grants of up to € 3 million. For multidisciplinary research teams to conduct visionary research with the potential for technological advancement in any field.
• In order to turn research results into innovation opportunities with an emphasis on the results achieved by Pathfinder EIC and Proof of Concept projects of the European Research Council, and to improve technologies and build a business case for specific applications (grants of up to 2, EUR 5 million under the EIC transition).
€ 60.5 million is allocated to address three transition challenges:
o Green digital devices for the future
o integration of clean energy technology processes and systems
o RNA-based therapy and diagnosis for complex or rare
genetic diseases.
• SMEs and start-ups can apply for EIC accelerator grants and equity investments at any time.
