INTERREG EUROPE has launched the first call for projects supporting interregional cooperation projects, aimed at improving regional policies through capacity building.
The projects bring together political organizations from at least three different countries in the 27 EU Member States, Norway and Switzerland. They have been learning from each other for four years and working together on a common policy issue.
The lessons learned lead to improved regional policies and a more sustainable economic, social and environmental impact on the ground for the people and the place they serve.
Projects in five thematic EU priorities and one non-thematic issue on better governance are supported:
• Smart
• Green
• Connected
• Social
• Citizens
• Management.
The total budget of the first call is EUR 130 million.
The average total budget per project is 1-2m EUR.
• Partners from EU Member States receive up to 80% of project activities.
• Private non-profit organizations can get a refund of 70% of their costs.
• Partners from Norway receive 50% of the funding.
• Switzerland directly manages the financing of its partners.
The deadline for applications is 31 May 2022 at noon CEST (Paris time).
• You can send a specific question about the draft documents in the first call application package (see link above) and you will be contacted with an answer.
• Use the online community to find project partners.
• Publish your project idea and you will soon be able to ask for feedback on it.
• Register for any of the online question and answer sessions (13.4., 22.4., 6.5. Or 20.5.) And ask for clarification on any aspect of project development or terms of reference.
