The call, Grants for the European Year of Youth (EP-COMM-SUBV-2022-EYY) is an action of the European Parliament within the European Year of Youth 2022.

The main objective of the call is to encourage and facilitate the active involvement of young European citizens by building a dynamic European democracy, bearing in mind their participation in the 2024 European elections.
• The first action consists of creating pan-European networks of proponents of democratic participation by selecting young people to be trained. Each network of advocates should cover at least seven Member States of the European Union. In the project proposal, the applicant must describe in detail the choice of countries they have made, as well as the process of identifying and selecting young advocates who make up the new pan-European networks.
• The second measure consists of designing and implementing capacity building through training, with the aim of providing skills, competences and tools to young advocates to play an active role in democratic life and promote democratic values, including participation in the 2024 European elections.

The expected results of the measures financed under this call are:
• Increased awareness of young European citizens about the work of the European Union and its institutions, especially the European Parliament.
• Establishment of pan-European participatory channels, connecting the European Parliament with younger citizens and encouraging their active participation, Together.eu - a platform of the European Parliament.
• Increased involvement of young European citizens in building a dynamic European democracy, which encourages their active participation, and participation in the communication campaign for the 2024 European elections.

Applicants must be able to prove that:
• Pan-European Youth Organization (non-profit youth organizations, voluntary and participatory NGOs run by young people).
Or
• Pan-European civil society organization (an organizational structure whose members serve the general interest through the democratic process and which acts as a mediator between public authorities and citizens).
For the purpose of this call, the concept of pan-European organization refers to:
 Any national organization with membership that is part of a network of organizations that share common values. Only organizations that are part of a network represented in seven or more Member States can submit proposals to this call.
Or
 Organizations representing the interests of a wide group of member organizations from different Member States. Only organizations with member organizations from seven or more Member States may submit proposals to this call.
Applications submitted by the consortium are not eligible.
