Sustainable Development of Cultural Heritage in Practice. Krakow is developing several initiatives through its Communal Culture Service and the City Administration for Green Space, taking advantage of the city’s natural and cultural heritage and landscapes.
The visit includes an introduction to a pocket park program aimed at creating small, friendly green spaces to create urban connections with natural spaces. These intimate green areas are located in the forgotten spaces of local neighborhoods, revealing the sometimes forgotten cultural heritage.

The visit will take place from 31.8.- 2.9.2022.
The Cultural Heritage in Action project covers the travel and stay of participants in Krakow. The group of selected participants will be made up of representatives of European cities and regions from the EU 27 + UK, but is also open to local cultural heritage stakeholders and architects.
During the peer learning visit, they will be able to discuss successful local policies and projects, top-notch advice, problems and failures, as well as their own local experience, in a private and friendly professional environment. Selected participants will receive useful information and ideas for improving or launching local projects or transferring some of the presented practices.
Selected candidates (24 per visit) will be notified by the end of June 2022.
