Agreement on climate and energy companies - First call for technical assistance

The European Commission's Business Agreement for Climate and Energy (CCCE) has opened its first call for applications for its Decarbonisation Assistance Program for European businesses in five target countries: Croatia, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland.

The Business Agreement is a pilot initiative to encourage and support businesses to strengthen their contribution to the clean energy transition, energy savings and related climate goals set out in the European Green Plan.

The program includes:
• help in auditing the company's energy consumption
• definition and implementation of scientifically based goals for reducing emissions
• identifying technologies, methods and financing mechanisms that companies can access while pursuing their goals.
The first call for technical assistance aims to provide direct support to 50 entities from four different target groups:
• SMEs according to the EU7 definition
• Groups of companies – small and medium-sized companies (and large companies) located in the same area
• Authorities – national, regional or local authorities that are responsible for establishing or implementing support schemes for small and medium-sized enterprises
• All entities that support the decarbonization of small and medium-sized enterprises (eg local energy agency, business associations and networks, energy service companies).

Application deadline until August 31, 2022.
