The new DT4REGIONS platform is focused on the challenges and business needs faced by public administrations, which can be solved by adopting artificial intelligence and big data technologies.

The goal is to promote and gradually expand the community of civil servants and employees, who belong to regional and local administrations from all over Europe, and are actively involved in designing and providing public services.
Constituent parts of the platform are DT stories and DT solutions, which users of the platform will be able to submit in the future and which can now be viewed. DT stories represent an identified opportunity to create value through digital transformation. It can be described as a set of problems to be solved or specific strategic goals to be achieved through the implementation of innovative practices, such as artificial intelligence technologies or big data (big data). The DT solution is a reusable, interoperable and self-contained set of digital resources and documentation that has proven its value in solving the business challenges defined in the DT story. The platform also features an Academy that offers a selection of topical webinars, training and readings.

The DT4REGIONS award is given to the best digital transformation solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data currently used by public administration in Europe. The goal of the award is to encourage the exchange of best practices, solutions, applications and bottom-up initiatives brought by national and regional authorities or public bodies at all levels to increase mutual learning. The awarding of the most successful cases of artificial intelligence and the implementation of big data will serve to help spread these solutions to other member states.
Award categories - initiatives, solutions and applications that fall into four main categories:
1. Supporting the adoption of policies
2. Improving the provision of public services
3. Improvement of internal management
4. Others.

Eligible applicants: representatives of European public administrations who have developed applications based on artificial intelligence and big data (big data) or use applications based on artificial intelligence and big data (big data) developed for them by third parties

Nominations for the award can be submitted until October 31, 2022. until 23:00 CET.

The best solutions will be awarded with a graphic mark in two categories:
• Most of the innovative solutions for public administration based on AI and BD selected and awarded by the jury
• Public winner - awarded by users of the DT4REGIONS platform.
