As part of the Science Meets Regions project, the Joint Research Center (JRC) has issued a call for expressions of interest to establish local and regional pairing programs that bring together scientists and policy makers.

The invitation is open to institutions that are policymakers at the local or regional level and their associations or networks, research institutions and their associations or networks, non-profit organizations that work to promote the adoption of evidence-based policies that could contribute to strengthening the science-policy interface by establishing a program matching in accordance with locally relevant and useful modalities. Applicants must be from an EU member state.

Although this call is open to any specific area related to the six current priorities of the European Commission, the following will take priority:
• Green and digital transition
• Economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The JRC will consider entering into a contract with the organization and launching up to ten matching schemes with a budget of up to EUR 15,000.00 per scheme, through a low value procurement procedure.
In case of need, the organizer is allowed to bring in additional funds.
